Failed to load module mdraid

Checking /var/log/syslog for the reason of not booting my L5 I found this message (on any boot and for sure unrelated of my problem):

Apr 12 10:01:16 pureos udisksd[595]: failed to load module mdraid: libbd_mdraid.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

What is the reason for this fault? There seems to be a related issue in Debian: udisksd[1213]: failed to load module mdraid: libbd_mdraid.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or director - Debian User Forums

well based on debian website libblockdev-mdraid2 package provides libbd_mdraid.so.2 file.

so install the package and see if it is going to fix your issue.

Hmmm, who is requesting this package and why it does not get fetched automatically as dependency?

udisks2 but i don’t think it is needed if you are not using mdraid.

because it wasn’t declared as a dependency.
