I have a new business account with T-Mobile, and I had a troublesome tech support call. So I got $40 off my bill because of downtime but before I ended the call I asked “Do you have any other promotions?” They sent me a new Galaxy S24 FE, (a.k.a. another 'Droid) and lowered my business account bill by another hundred bucks a month (not counting lines).
When the new 'Droid came in, I made another tech support call and asked: “Okay, my new phone came in, now what do I do?” It didn’t come with a SIM but it had two eSIMs, eSIM #1 and eSIM#2. eSIM#1 was a new number and eSIM#2 blank. In the process of transferring my old phone number to the new phone on eSIM #2, because I was talking on my old phone and the tech support person wanted to make the change remotely she asked: “Do you have another line I can call you on?”
“As a matter of fact, I have this L5 thing … let me look it up the number.”
To make this long story short, after a couple years my L5 had its first incoming call that lasted over 30 minutes. The volume was faint but it worked. However I had to have the volume set to the max and the speaker on. I don’t think the low volume is because I’m a senior citizen and need a hearing aid, because my 'Droid volume is just fine.
Another thing…
I usually just use my L5 to call my 'Droid phone in the house when I can’t find it. Lately it has occurred when I do that, it comes back saying it “timed out”, and then 30 minutes later, my 'Droid finally rings, after I found it without the L5 help.
