I have been worrying that the FSFE receives too much funding from Google (between 10% and 20% of FSFE’s yearly budget, according to https://fsfe.org/donate/thankgnus.en.html) so that the FSFE has a hard time speaking against Google in any way.
I wonder, if the FSFE had included some relevant background info on why Android should be avoided, and something about how Google’s current dominance is a threat to democracy, would Google have allowed that? Perhaps there was such a version of the article that did not make it past Google’s censorship?
