I hate when articles have no links to the sources. While Purism does all right, Reuters (Purisms source) does not. It seems like Tagesschau (German) was the source, while Netzpolitik.org (German) is a better source that gives background information and source links. To make it short: this all happened thanks to Nextcloud.
However, I do not expect huge improvements. And all those bad things Microsoft does helps Linux to get more and more people. In June the statcounter page counted 5.5% Linux market share for Germany and in one or two days it will be updated and hopefully 6% (was 5% in may). So if those bad actions lead to self destruction, I’m fine with Microsofts actions.
PS: The news is almost a year old, Purism is a bit late writing about it.
