github has turned telemetry collection on by default for its CLI utilities
I’ve never seen how gh commands have any increased utility over git commands, now I know there is at least one way they are worse.

The enshittification started as soon as Microsoft bought GitHub, which is why I severed ties to GitHub as much as possible as soon as the acquisition was announced. Most people who are old enough to remember Microsoft buying LinkedIn should have seen enshittification coming, and if you’re old enough, like me, to remember personal computing before Microsoft, then you know Microsoft produces rubbish and is all about the money.

I never used LinkedIn, but I can agree with Skype many years ago.
Currently I am involved in a project on Github (joined it, not created by my own) and we are talking about moving somewhere else.
