Has anyone installed the latest version of GNU Octave (8.something) on a Librem 14? The purism repository is still at version 4.4, and while that gets the job done, there have been some improvements since then.
You could try the Flatpak from Flathub, it’s up to date: https://flathub.org/apps/org.octave.Octave
4.4 is from debian buster, 6.2 from bullseye, and 7.3 from bookworm. Which debian is your pureos tracking?
cat etc/debian_version says buster. So that explains it.
