Help Install Warp File Transfer

Is there a terminal command to download and install Warp from terminal? I tried a few and their site without success.

WHY?
I need to use another means of installing Warp file transfer.
Have tried and failed using their site. Using PureOS Store just shows blank (still) and searching for it I waited 5 minutes and nothing. Nice spinner though.

U Don’t need to read the following but, it vmight answer any questions you have.
I did spend 4 hours already reading through and trying flatpak and installing via their site to no avail. Yes, I also read the responses to my previous request for help on it.

The issue with the PureOS store really needs attention. It’s been useless for over a year now. I tried to get “flatpak” but the store is always busy spinning that ‘working’ indicator.

I have not read your previous post.

I guess these two commands should suffice:
First run this command:

flatpak remote-add --user --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo

Does the output look OK? Any complaints from the terminal?

If everything looks OK, run this command:

flatpak install flathub app.drey.Warp

If this does not work for you, include any error messages or similar from the terminal output when running the commands. Without the output of the terminal, it will be difficult to help further.

When this prompt occurs, input the number ‘2’. Then press the enter key. What does the terminal output then?

Copied and pasted from L5 screen to this reply form as best I can.
I proof read it so I’m certain it is accurate.

@amarok Thanks. I read your ‘did you do it’ hint. Then you removed it. It helped. I looked at it and thought ‘Duh!’

I had L5 in a holding pattern since I got the message. Thanks for catching my zonk moment.

Install completed all 7 steps. (with a wake-up call from @ASwyD2 and @amarok
There is a warning though:

Warning: Not exporting file app.drev.Warp.metainfo/xml of unsupported type.
Installation complete.
I don’t think the warning is important so moving on. Tested and it works both ways.

Great Job! Tell your boss that I said you may have next week off with pay.

I think the steps should be in one’s face when anyone with L5’s want to install Warp.
THIS, is the “solution”. Sorry @ASwyD2 I got quote-messy for a bit.

If only MMS or whatever Chat needs to send text with data was as friendly.

Because I subsequently noticed that @ASwyD2 had beaten me to it.

For another option for transferring files over your home network, set up ssh and then you can use sftp to access and move files around between your machines, right from your Files manager, i.e. click/cut/copy/paste/drag, etc. No “app” required, and to set it up all you have to do is copy and paste some terminal commands. I appreciate the idea and while I remember a bit of ssh, what I do remember is learning more commands. I like the KISS principal. Warp does that. It’s rare I need to transfer between things now.
I follow my friends advice. If I don’t have to, and I don’t want to then I’m not going to.

Read email from support today. The L5 is going back via RMA next Wednesday. Then wait to see if they can exorcize it, or remove a curse, or banish gremlins and get it back - (?).

Hopefully, I won’t have to come by here as often, if at all.
