Help with PureOS terminal commands

Need help reinstalling Tor Browser after all my data on using terminal commands was wiped.

Equipment: Librem 15v4

Os: Byzantium

I downloaded this file from the torproject.org {tor-browser-linux-x86_64-15.0…..xz} using the Librem 15 tethered to an Android phone (no internet wi-fi out here). Thanx

This is old PureOS documentation, but it’s documented nonetheless: Accessing the Tor network - Purism user documentation

thanks for the help. OK i followed these instructions and got this:

tor-browser-linux-x86_64-15.CvRtybHj.0.1.tar(1).xz 137.5 MB
tor-browser-linux-x86_64-15.wPAj8ZjY.0.1tar.xz.part 71.3 MB

I then tried to extract the file and got a message that no archieve manager was present. So I went into the software and opened the engrampa archive manager but it would not extract the file. I also tried to install flat-pack to see if there was an archive manage there, but I couldn't get that installed either. When I first bought the librem 15 laptop a few years ago it was easy to install Tor and Brave. Not so much now.
Speaking of Brave. Their website said to put this into the terminal:
sudo apt install curl
sudo curl -fsSLo /usr/share/keyrings/brave-browser-archive-keyring.gpg https://brave-browser-apt-release.s3.brave.com/brave-browser-archive-keyring.gpg
sudo curl -fsSLo /etc/apt/sources.list.d/brave-browser-release.sources https://brave-browser-apt-release.s3.brave.com/brave-browser.sources
sudo apt update
sudo apt install brave-browser

I did and it is installed however it's extremely slow to load pages and when I position the tiny pointer over an icon the bottom half of the icon is cut off making it impossible to read. There doesn't seem to be a way to enlarge the pointer. Also the screen blinks in different places and the blinking moves around.

I'm going to uninstall brave but I don't want to uninstall everything else with it.

are you receiving the whole message

or is it cut off?

The file’s default name should be named tor-browser-linux-x86_64-15.0.1.tar.xz, and there are no additional partial files.

I think you are not being patient enough.

When you click Download it appears that nothing happens but it does create some crappy files. The download is running in the background of the browser. Wait until the download actually finishes. Needless to say, don’t impatiently click to download twice as the two downloads will both be running in the background and fighting each other for bandwidth.

There is an icon near the top of the browser window that gives a graphical indication of the progress of the download and you can even click that icon to get more detailed tracking of the progress of the download.

All of the above applies to Firefox. Probably similar in some other browsers.

When the download finally finishes, you will have just one new file, named exactly as @FranklyFlawless specifies: tor-browser-linux-x86_64-15.0.1.tar.xz
