HP Stream not detecting bootable usb drive of Pure OS

Hi, newbie here.

I have this problem: I’ve got a brand new hp stream 11. It booted tails just fine, but when I try to boot pureOS, it doesn’t even detect the usb drive on the boot menu. I have tried lots of programs to make a bootable drive (rufus, etcher and unebootin) to no avail.

Does anyone know what can be done? Thanks!

Just a thought have you also tried dd?

PureOS isn’t supposed to work on devices like this, because of the necessity to use proprietary drivers and/or firmware for various parts of your computer, which the Librem device don’t use.

Is there any option for Legacy Boot in the HP’s BIOS settings?

use this ISO:
https://downloads.pureos.net/byzantium/gnome/2021-04-18/pureos-10~devel-gnome-live-20210418_amd64.iso

write to USB as an image, using dd, etcher, rufus in dd mode, etc. Do not use unetbootin (ever)
