I’m switching from my Librem 13 PureOS 9 to a Librem 14 PureOS 10 (byzantium) and I discovered that rather than dialing down my screen resolution in order to read text I could scale the display. The out-of-box experience allows a choice of 100% (no scaling) and 200%, which is unusable. But there is an “experimental feature” for fractional scaling and 125% is perfect.
Good ol’ mladen wrote a wiki page available at
https://tracker.pureos.net/w/pureos/tips/enable_fractional_scaling/
to show you how to do it. Be aware that it doesn’t kick in until you reboot and even then the display setting page went through a couple of burps before settling on a drop-down list (not the row of buttons in the article).
