I want Librem 5 to resemble iOS!

I apologize if I came across as defensive. I suppose I was, but perhaps I overreacted.

To me, “want” and “wish” are more similar to one another than “want” and “demand.” I guess this will serve as a lesson for me to not assume.

I may be missing something, but I am not the OP. As I understood, (s)he said something about wanting the UI to look a certain way, which I read to be a simple expression of a desire of theirs, as opposed to a request of the devs. I believe you took it differently and voiced as much, which I then took the wrong way, and now here we are a week later.

To address your final question, I don’t think the phone should have a dumber down OS style, personally. But that only applies to the phone I own. If OP wants the phone they own to look more simple, then I don’t have a problem with that. That is the crux of what I was trying to say, I would’ve been more clear had I read more carefully.

Either way, I appreciate your patience, calm, and understanding, and I’m a little ashamed I jumped the gun and didnt afford you the same. There’s too little of that on the internet as it is, and I don’t want to contribute to it. Thank you for a good lesson and better example.

Oh yes, the OP shows up with a similar color gravatar picture so I confused you, my mistake.

To be honest though, I was a little set off when I felt the thread was an attempt to start a campaign to adopt an Apple-style experience–because indeed I am biased against Apple. So I reacted a little hastily initially! We agree on having the freedom to customize.

Indeed we do. No worries, though. I’m good if you are.
