I want to type Japanese on Librem

Hi
I bought US keyboard librem 13 and am using Tails OS and PureOS

I can choose Japanese on settings but I can only type English alphabets :frowning:

Please help !!! :frowning:

You’ll want a good input method editor (IME). I forget if GNOME has one to itself, but there are others.

Thank you for your quick response.
If I install IME and keep it in the persistent volume in the USB where has Tails , it makes my computer vulnerable?
