Interview with Linus Torwalds about L5?

It would be super cool if Purism could get an in-person Interview with Linus about his thoughts about L5, or Purism in general.

In todays time it would mean an Interview over Jitsi (zoom alternative) https://alternativeto.net/software/sip-communicator/about/. It is a Proprietary-free software.

If not possible, then one with Richard Stallman?

Or both.

Free Software Foundation already recommends Purism Librem 5 as the only reasonably user-respecting phone: https://www.fsf.org/givingguide/v11.

Thank you, I edited my post.

Obviously, I dont’ know either of these guys personally but I am going to assume:

Linus: Too busy or doesn’t care, or both.
RMS: He might care, but I have trouble picturing him endorsing any product directly.

Actually he did, see my link. They even have a special campaign to promote devices that respect your freedom. Purism expects to obtain such certification for the phone.

From here:

“I generally hate phones,” explained Torvalds, who is known as “the father of Linux,” in a blog post on Saturday.

“At the same time I love the concept of having a phone that runs Linux, and I’ve had a number of them over the years,” he wrote.

I think it might seem a little too solicitous for Purism to ask either of them for interviews about their own product.

It would be great if some blog sites asked those two for their impressions, expectations, etc.

He did so here: https://www.fsf.org/events/rms-20190715-frankfurt
