Is Librem "Intel-safe" on Other Distros?

Kyle Rankin published a great blog post on how Librem hardware is less vulnerable to recent Intel hardware exploits “due to how we use (and don’t use) the ME.”

One question: does this hardening extend to other distros besides PureOS? For example, I’m currently using Manjaro on my Librem 13 (after a lot of distro-hopping). Is my system equally resistant to Intel ME problems?

Thanks.

I think you mean “Intel-safer”. No Intel CPU in the last decade is 100% safe as far as the Intel ME (homunculus CPU) is concerned. In other words, you got it right when you wrote “less vulnerable”.

Think this was your main question. And yes. Our changes and hardening are in Librem firmware, so they are still in effect when using Manjaro
