Is PureOS based off of Stretch?

Since there is nothing to indicate the Debian base version, I will ask here. Is it Jessie or Stretch?

It’s actually Buster. Doing a

> cat /etc/debian_version

should show

buster/sid

Hmm I do not have that file! Well I may now, I just did an apt-get dist-upgrade so I will look when I get home.

actually PureOs is based on Debian Testing (see the Debian Wiki for more info).

Debian Testing is a rolling distribution from which the next stable release is built.

The code name for Debian Testing is Buster. More here;

Our intent, for the laptops anyway, is to follow Buster as it moves from ‘testing’ to ‘stable.’
