A built in KVM switch on Librem laptops and desktops would allow external hardware to use the trackpad, keyboard, and screen of the machine via USB C and/or HDMI. You could quickly plug in a Librem 5 to a Librem laptop and have the laptop experience with your phone.

I’ve been wondering about the details of the KVM connections myself. I put in for the 30" bundle. But I would also like to be able to access it using my equipment at work and I am wondering if that will be possible and what will I need to do it.

I’ve also curious if something like this…

…could be made too.
