If I remember correctly, the antenna cables are connected at both ends. If one end isn’t well connected, card won’t get signal. Could it be worth disassembling the phone to the point you can verify the bottom end of the antenna cable (near usb port) is well attached?

Nope. The firmware is unable to load to the card according to the dmesg output. A good way to verify the switch is working is to boot the phone with the wifi switch disabled, and see the dmesg output when you engage the switch.
Drop it flat again 4-5 feet so it lands on the other side?

Someone I know at work just 3D printed me a nice case for my Librem 5. He got the design from Purism’s website. The case is like tough plastic that stretches just enough allow the Librem 5 to be pushed inside of it and still maintain a tight fit while inside. It has a nice design on the outer top side and all of the appropriate openings for the cameras, buttons, and kill switches, charging port. It has a professional finished look on all edges.
My daily driver phone has an Otter Box with a belt clip. This one for the Librem 5 is only the case with no belt clip.
This friend from work printed this case more as a favor for me. He didn’t want to charge me anything. I insisted that he take $20. If anyone here wants a case like the one he made for me, let me know and how much you think it would be worth as a good deal for both you and him. Try to make the amount be high enough it that it would be worth it for him to want to do also. I will tell him what kind of a response I get here. I think the only thing stopping him from selling these cases is that he doesn’t have any online store to sell from.
Printing the cases is no problem for him. He already went through the trial and error process to get the fit to the phone just right. He hit it perfect on his second try. His first try was a hard shell that was too small, but close. He busted it up by hand and put it back together like a puzzle around my Librem 5 and didn’t bother to take measurements of the shortfall where the pieces came together. For the second try he used a more flexible material and it fit like a glove.
