As the title says - is there a screen capturing app for the L5?
There is one for phosh but i not tested if work but please becareful in asking and overloading too much the Librem 5.
flatpak install flathub io.github.seadve.Kooha
Yes. My recommendation is Screenshot: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GNOME_Screenshot
In terminal: sudo apt-get install gnome-screenshot
Just push and hold the power button for a few seconds…
(And there is, of course, the pre-installed Screenshot app - with the little camera icon. And the Screen recording app just next to it.)
Pushing the
Causes the phone to Lock Screen
Does not fit what I see on my screen.
There’s the camera app but that’s it
Tried that didn’t work
Thanks seems to be working (at present)…
You should update your phone then. It works with recent updates.
sudo apt install librem5-goodies
It installs a screenshot app and a recording app with icons on app grid.
On an up-to-date system you can hold the power-button for 2 or 3 seconds that let appear a new widget on screen with a “Screenshot” button. But it saves into RAM, not into your system, so you need another app to paste and save it. That’s what wimdows was trying to say.
Yeh - I finally got to see this widget - and finally realized it has screen shot - but was really buffled by where does it keep it?
Does it do anything other than these two apps?
You mean where’s the taken screenshot? As I told, just a copy on clipboard that has to be pasted in any image editing app to save it. That’s why screenshot app from librem5-goodies is a way better.
Look here. Those are temporary scripts which will be removed once those functionalities are build in by default in Phosh.
Yes, of course, they are not pre-installed, but part of the goodies.
