Yesterday I received my Librem 13 v4. I’m happy with it but couldn’t help but notice that it is not running Coreboot. It’s my understanding that Coreboot comes factory-installed, so something is not adding up.
Here’s the relevant output of lshw:
*-core description: Motherboard product: KU31 vendor: Intel Corp. physical id: 0 version: RVP7 serial: 1 slot: Part Component *-firmware description: BIOS vendor: American Megatrends Inc. physical id: 0 version: 5.12 date: 12/15/2017 size: 64KiB capacity: 16MiB capabilities: pci upgrade shadowing cdboot bootselect socketedrom edd int13floppy1200 int13floppy720 int13floppy2880 int5printscreen int9keyboard int14serial int17printer acpi usb biosbootspecification uefi
So, am I missing something? If Librem 13 v4 users want to use Coreboot, do they have to install it themselves?
