For some reason I can’t use CUPS to install a vireless printer.CUPS reports ‘no printer found’ even though I am using the wireless Brother printer from two different Ubuntu computers and from an iPad. When I try to install from the command line, I get a ‘not authorized’ message. What might I have done to cause this to happen? TIA John
What command are you using at the command line? Have you tried using it with sudo?
After trying unsuccessfully with CUPS, I used sudo lpstat -p -d and got the reply “printer disabled since May 26: reason unknown”. It had successfully recognized the name of the printer I had tried to install with CUPS. John
