Librem 14 2022 PureOS 10 (Byzantium) just like that without update or any physical damage or even moving it, stopped connecting to the internet!!! It connects to the wifi and the icon shows the bars but i can’t actually access the internet. After restarting and resetting my router, i realized that my cell phone and another laptop are online just fine. What happened to my laptop?? Any ideas?
I restarted it several times and was able to update and upgrade in terminal. Also installed an update that required restart in an attempt to fix the issue but to no avail. Seems it downloads updates but web sites, Thunderbird and Telegram - user side apps don’t get internet.
I had another issue recently but in a matter of a month no one replied to my emails and i gave up. Has support been cancelled? Is this forum the only source of help? I paid for 3 years warrantee…
Check the ROUTER, some routers reject N DRAFT networking, so this could happen if your L14 it has a Gnu Atheros WLAN if so go to Router setting and force it to N Draft only, or change the WLAN card for a Evil Linux module, like: SPARKLAN, or INTEL.
As the last try rechange the DNS:
echo -e "nameserver 8.8.8.8\nnameserver 8.8.4.4" | sudo tee /etc/resolv.conf
Doesn’t that mean that it can access the internet?
In any case I would probably do a Live Boot in order to boot from a known state just to see whether something is not correct (settings / software), assuming of course that you have a suitable Live Boot USB flash drive.
If having unspecified problems accessing the internet, it can be good to try to fault isolate DNS e.g. just do ping 1.1.1.1
Does it work? All the time? Intermittently? Not at all?
