Thank you for your response and teaching me about the CR batteries. I’m unsure why the CMOS battery was removed / misplaced, but I intend to purchase a replacement now that I know the specifications.
The barrel jack is working, however similar to this post (/librem-14-power-jack-replacement/28024) mine sparking makes me want to replace it rather than keep testing it. These EIA-1 barrel jacks (used in video tape recorders) appear to be replaceable: https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/same-sky-formerly-cui-devices/PJ-023/408471
The USB-C power (on right-hand-side of the device) needs a power supply of 19v 60w (/purism-usb-c-type-universal-chargers/). I have tried with a 100w 20V 5A USB-C power supply, however the LED doesn’t illuminate to show that it’s charging.
Battery power connector (that the 11pin battery plug connects into) appears to be easily broken / damaged when diagnosing the battery faults. From my rough measurements it appears to match the specification for SM11B-SRSS-TB. I was hoping that Purism could confirm the specifications however I read that another customer resorted to cutting the wires and soldering directly to the board.
The battery appears to degrade quickly. I assume there is a short if the DC input is sparking, so I do not want to risk damaging the mainboard and have powered off the device after extracting the following information.
