Librem 14 not booting

Hi all,

my librem 14 is not booting and I get a “coreinfo 0.1” screen with CPU information.
What can I do? nothing is working

That happens if SeaBIOS can’t find a bootable OS. Try to check if your SSD is working and detected. Any of the following may help:

  1. Press ‘Esc’ during the SeaBIOS prompt, check if your SSD is listed, and if so try to boot to it. (It’ll go to coreinfo if it tries but cannot find the OS, this might mean GRUB is not installed correctly.)
  2. Boot a live USB, see if you can see the SSD and mount it.
  3. Take out the SSD and see if it’s readable with another system.

  1. ‘Esc’ is not working/not responding (nothing changes)
  2. Need a day to prepare USB live.
  3. How can I take the SSD out?

Are you pressing ‘Esc’ when the Purism logo appears during boot? It should take you to the SeaBIOS boot menu.

yes I press ‘Esc’ when the logo but I dont get any menu, just the same screen where nothing happens.

Thanks for the disassmebly instructions. Will need 1 or 2 days to try those things

The machine not booting when you got it new from Purism or that happed later? please be very specificity if so you will got a super fast solution for.
