I told them I would open a case with my bank within a few days if they didn’t send my money. They then processed the refund 2 days later without me having to deal with my bank. Seems like this is the way to do it.

Yes as I said, Purism is a scam company. They want to keep your money as long as they can. I sent more than 20 emails with no success. Each time they were saying “we will give your refund next week”. Needless to say that there’s no phone number to talk to someone. I was not able to get my money back until I opened a case with the credit card company. I have never had such an experience with a company in U.S.

paid with BTC unfortunately. Been mailing for weeks for my refund now its all like yes yes financial department contacting blabla will ask to speed it up. Its everytime the same BS with these people. Any suggestions because hell I am not going to wait for 1 year for a refund + additional excuses after their own policy…

Google your state name and “District attorney consumer protection unit” and file a complaint with them. They’ll send this company a letter so that you can get your money back.
It’s really sad that this company -with so many promises of free software and so- is doing this and keeping people’s money and not being responsive.

Don’t know! Maybe your country has some kind of rules that can apply.
Just never ever again trust Purism or other companies like that.

Yeah I’ve also successfully prevented two of my friends from buying anything from Purism.
As a last shot, try emailing their CEO, Todd Weaver. His email address is: todd@puri.sm (firstname at company domain name). Maybe that complaint can get you somewhere.
