Librem 5 Hardware Powers on from Power

Maybe this is a stupid question, but on my recently received Librem 5 from the Evergreen batch I took out the battery for a bit and then put it back in, and I found that the instant that I inserted the battery back in and while I was still fitting it into place, the device powered itself on without me knowingly pressing the power button.

Is this a known/intended design or is there a way to avoid this, such that the device would only power on when the user presses the power button, so that I could safely ensure that the battery was seated in place before the device would power on?

I think it depends if that behavior is consistent.

I also find if I brush the edge of the phone the wrong way, the power button acts as if it had been pressed.

Yes, that’s how the phone works right now.
