If I purchase a Librem 5 USA or Liberty, and then I drop it and bust the screen, then when I go to order a replacement screen on the Purism site is that replacement only sourced from the same Chinese manufacturers as a stock Librem 5 or is it sourced from the USA-ish manufacturers that are involved in the USA/Liberty phone manufacturing process?

If this is true, why does the USA version’s screen look different? The screen of an off-the-shelf Librem 5 USA has visible pixels in it, where you can see the divisions between each pixel. The screen of an off-the-shelf Librem 5 (not USA, evergreen iirc) has no lines shown between the pixels so the colors blend together as if to make you forget the exact pixel density and try to look prettier.
I always kind of figured it was a technology that China didn’t want to let to escape from their manufacturing, which made the USA version maybe look slightly worse or more mechanical but I put up with it anyway as being kind of stylish, in a way.
If you’re telling me they’re the same and it doesn’t matter, then I’m even more curious why that visual difference existed in the units that I previously purchased.
