It would be cool if there was a librem key that used near field communication for the phone, similar features like auto locking on disconnect,encryption and verification if possible.
Specific benefits would be like if you put down your phone in an emergency and forgot to lock it the disconnection of the librem key from the back would lock it whereas a usb version would still be connected to it.
Alternatively it would be cool if you could get it to work with the yubikey nfc key.
yes, that’s a feature i would like to have too. i tried to do a poc for android and the usability is really cool (like having the NFC key in your glove and the mobile unlocks when you take it (i do endurance riding where i use the mobile with a map application, being forced to enter a PIN is even dangerous) but wont unlock in case it gets lost or such.
And I also would like to have a button on the librem key that I have to press before it starts decrypting anything so that even in case I have forgotten to unplug the stick no remote intruder can keylog my PIN and decrypt all my encrypted communications and files…
