Librem Mini is a copy NVISEN or not?

I’m sorry, I see my response looks a bit curt, I was just attempting to answer the questions directly :slightly_smiling_face:

We’re certainly interested in bringing Made in USA electronics to more of our devices beyond the Liberty Phone. It’s far from easy though!

Your response looked perfectly fine to me.

I guess the previous poster was talking about the Librem Mini v1 … which was an 8th gen. By the way, you should be aware that the “User Manual” and the pics of the motherboard for the Mini v1 FCC ID match the eglobal machine. Furthermore the “User Manual” for the Mini v1 on the FCC website shows the American Megatrends BIOS ( https://fccid.io/2AT9R-LMV1-01/User-Manual/User-Manual-4772946.pdf ) … which is kind of funny, right???

As an aside: I don’t see any FCC ID information/filing for the Mini v2. Any reason why not?

Yes. There is still no guarantee that if you buy one of these systems that our distribution of coreboot will work on it, as I explained above.

As with most of our products, the Librem Mini v1/v2 are unintentional radiators as defined by the FCC. Filing is optional for unintentional radiators. (The wireless card is an intentional radiator, and the card manufacturers file those.)

The certification testing has to be done, but you don’t have to file it. While I was not with Purism at the time of that filing, most likely the test lab we used at the time for Mini v1 simply did this filing, but the test lab we used for Mini v2 did not.
