Does anyone have intermittent frozen screen issue? Thus far, mine is easily fixed by locking (hardware lock button on side of phone) and then unlocking the device.
I’m just getting started learning this new terminology (sudo, bash, ssh, etc.). Tech Support gave me info about adjusting battery life in the Settings UI… Could system freeze be a memory usage / optimization thing? I haven’t found anything in the Settings UI - is there Terminal info on this topic I could look up to learn more?
I didn’t find anything matching in the L5 wiki or user documentation. Is there another Purism spot to look for info?
I found two posts here in the forum with matching keywords (byzantium, librem, screen, freezing, frozen), however they appear to be geared toward the non-phone version of software (not familiar enough with terminology to understand if this is useful for the phone OS).
My (basic) L5 specs: Librem5 USA ~ Purism OS 10 (Byzantium) ~ GNOME Version 3.38.5 ~ Windowing System Wayland
I sometimes get an unresponsive screen. Usually, clicking the power button briefly to blank the screen, then again to display it, makes it responsive again. (No need to lock the device, as far as I know.)
I’m not sure what causes the glitch, or if it will come back if you just wait a while.
I’ve been giving most actions (screen pokes/clicks) about 3-5 seconds to “process” - but sometimes it becomes truly frozen. Interested to see if there’s a trend or interesting fixes that come about. Thanks!
I too randomly come across where the phone screen turns on but then it is not responsive to touch.
As mentioned earlier a quick press of the hardware lock button to turn off the screen and then another press to turn the screen back on seems to get it working again.
No, not on Byzantium or later. Sometimes the PureOS lockscreen on the Librem 5 becomes unresponsive, although it is easily fixed by locking and unlocking the display.
