I’ve been daily driving L5 for two years. Im at an airport about to send a message via a web client before boarding and the web client is lagging. I locked the screen from the lag as an instinct to see if lock/unlock makes me able to interact again.
But this time, it locked to where I can pull down the top to see statuses and time and battery and stuff, but all onscreen buttons are non interactive other than pulling down that. Touch screen obviously connect because i can pull down. Volume control doesnt work via onscreen press but volume hardware buttons do work.
What is this how do I get my browser tabs back and keep going plz, is this just Phosh bad software bug like it seems to be?? I am on Byzantium, is it fixed on Crimson? Its so obviously still running how do i unlock
Running out of memory and swapping to death? Alternatively, webpage hogging the CPU? Could be heavy Javascript frameworks being heavy Javascript frameworks, or “proof of work” to prevent bots scraping, or crypto mining to make you indirectly pay for the service…?
I’ve occasionally seen mine be in a similar situation. Closing an app would eventually let it recover. When it’s due to memory, sometimes it would just shut down. (There was a post for compressing and/or enlarging swap somewhere, I should try that one day)
It hasn’t happened to me on newer phosh versions, I would think you should be fine, but I don’t know for certain.
