I did not want to have an expensive 2048-gamepad. Epiphany (Web, the pre-installed browser) is not usable, also from flatpak. So I installed Firefox ESR and added following extensions:
- all-tabs-helper
- mobile-view-switcher
I modified the menu bar to show only “back”, “reload”, “address bar”, “all tabs helper icon”, “mobile view switcher icon” and the “menu icon”.
Furthermore I hid the title bar by modifying ~.mozilla/firefox//chrome/userChrome.css like from https://gitlab.com/postmarketOS/mobile-config-firefox/ (my config: https://nextcloud.sfelis.de/s/3tTsNwyM9eED24G)
To make the mobile view switcher work with more sites I modified the user agent to fake the firefox android build. Firefox -> Addons -> Mobile view switcher -> settings -> Mobile user-agent string:
Mozilla/5.0 (Android 4.4; Mobile; rv:41.0) Gecko/41.0 Firefox/41.0
Maybe somebody has ideas to make the All Tabs menu more touch friendly?
