As for how to deal with your “space” issue, I do not have the interest or resources to invest in personally solving it in a reasonable and timely manner. However, I will say that those I personally know who have physically removed hardware components such as front-facing webcams have simply taped over the hole, but applied pressure on the tape to create an indent to constantly remind them of their decision whenever they used their device and as a tamper measure.
