MirrorHall - does it work?

I came across app called MirrorHall that is supposed to stream displays across network. With L5 that would potentially give a nice new feature to play with.

Unfortunately I haven’t been able to get it to work. Has anyone else? The developer’s blog post mentions that it’s been stable with L5 but the app warns that there is a new upstream bug (not sure if relevant). There seems to be a flatpak in flathub but also a separate flatpak available at the gitlab site which has better 264 video - but for some reason the site gives error for all packages (can’t download any artifacts), so I’ve been unable to try it.

Any thoughts?

Uhh, nice finding. I will give a look into it once I have some time.

Oh, silly, should have looked under the arrow. Disappointing. I haven’t found any contacts either to ping the dev and ask about them. They maybe a L5 user and maybe visit here, so: “Hey!”

The PoC, I think, referred to the 0.1 and for L5 there was the table that noted it was stable. But, yes, it probably is still in development. I am hoping anyone else might have tested it or had ides how to get the flathub version to work (the app itself launches fine and fits screen ok but no mirroring - just black).
