Hello all, I have been trying to figure out how to use MMS on the L5 on purism’s service in the US, but I am not sure how to get it working. I read about changing APN in advanced network settings, which I found easy enough but don’t know what to put in there. I entered the APN data shown in the file sent to me when I got the phone into chatty preferences, but that isn’t allowing me to send pictures. Also old pictures that I tried to send aren’t deleting but that part has data in the forums.

Have you followed the setup steps in Purism’s documentation? Make sure you contact their wireless support department to activate your SIM card if you haven’t done so already.

The guy at purism sent me a file for setup six months ago, I used it and it got texting and the internet working but not MMS.

For troubleshooting, can you clarify what you have entered in these two places:
- Settings app > Mobile > Access Point Names > (the APN that’s currently selected) > (then the gear wheel) > ?
- Chats app > (hamburger menu) > Preferences > SMS and MMS Settings > MMSC and APN > ? and ?

aahahahahahhaha, I got it!!! Yeahhhhh, it can be done! In your face! Now I am getting thousands of you received an mms but it expire on…I had to change the apn to something else and then change it back for some reason.

Delete the status files in /home/purism/.mms/modemmanager/
