Mobian on Librem 5

I rebooted multiple times, but that did not bring back the audio devices.

If it happens again for me, I will pay extra attention to remember what I’m doing, in case the controls will come back.

There’s nothing on the mobian blog, but new stable images, which I assume are trixie, showed up yesterday. Has anyone tried one on the librem 5 or pinephone?

Not tried yet, but I think here’s the relevant blog post.

Have been running trixie on the Librem5 since the launch, I was using testing previously.

Thanks. It wasn’t there when I checked just before my post. (Maybe ISP caching issue?)

Do you use XMPP and SIP?

Does wayvnc work?

I use xmpp yes, don’t know what sip and wayvnc are.

SIP, Session Initiation Protocol, is a protocol for voice, video, and text communication over the internet. The calls app on the L 5 supports SIP calling (and incoming). Services like Callcentric provide gateways to the public telephone network, which allows SIP clients to make and receive calls with regular phone numbers.

VNC, Virtual Network Computing, is an early X11 remote desktop application. wayvnc serves an X11 desktop from a wayland computer to a remote X11 computer.

Has anyone tried getting Mobian Trixie on L5 by first flashing Alpha Crimson, then switching repo’s to mobian Bookworm, doing all updates, and then updating repo’s to Mobian Trixie?

I want to try Mobian Trixie with Full Disk Encryption, but I wasn’t sure of the instructions in the mobian blog post ( A new Stable, and rotating keys // Mobian's Blog ). I do have Alpha Crimson on my L5 now, working fine. I updated the repo to Mobian Bookworm and the update only impacted 14 packages. I did the update and everything worked fine, except for alsa-ucm-config package, which had a conflict with a librem5-base package. So, I switched the repo back to Crimson for the time being. And updates/operations are all still fine.

I am just wondering if going from Crimson repo’s to Mobian repo’s is not really a viable option any more? I remember seeing posts before where some people had done this in the past.

@veleno,

besides the typo carlosgonz mentioned, it looks like you are not running mobian trixie (stable), but mobian forky (testing).

cat /etc/os-release

would also be good.
