Mobian+phosh on pine modem double sms tone

I’ve been trying a pinephone with mobian, and i’m running into the following:
when i receive a text, my custom sms tone goes off twice.

has anybody had this as well? and is there a solution?
so i’ve placed my custom .ogg files in ~/.local/share/sounds/__custom (my theme like the guides)
and i’ve made the following files there:
-alarm-click-elapsed.ogg
-message-new-email.ogg
-message-new-instant.ogg
-message.ogg
these are all the same sound

why is the sound playing twice on a sms?

ok i reinstalled mobian because of another reason, now the double tone is gone.

might have been me reinstalling chats or that i had a /stereo in my theme as well
