So… I tested a wired mouse and it did not work. I’m wondering if it isn’t the phone hardware that’s the problem.
(I did get it wet a couple months ago… and that may have affected the USB receiver.
Can you charge the phone?
So at this stage is this a correct summary for the Librem 5’s USB port?
- working: USB-to-HDMI adapter, USB-C to USB-A adapter
- not working: nano receiver, wired mouse
- unknown: flash drive, charging
Another thing to test is … connecting the phone to a host computer and seeing whether the phone shows up as a USB peripheral device of some kind i.e. lsusb
on the host computer.
Another thing to try, and this is a bit sketchy, and I haven’t myself tried it … use a host computer to boot Jumpdrive on the Librem 5 and then disconnect from the host computer and try a wired keyboard (if you have one) on the Librem 5.
True
True
Flash drive unknown,
Charging works
Can I do that without a linux computer?
Hah, good point. I mean probably yes but I would have no idea what to look for / what to type on a Windows computer.
The same objection would apply to my suggestion to boot Jumpdrive.
You could try these by live booting Ubuntu on your Windows computer.
