Nemo’s top menu disappeared

While working with Nemo file manager I got the message that Nemo’s Top menu is hidden.
Tried to close the app but I had to do a reboot to close the app. Thereafter I purged and autoremoved the app 3 times with the same result. The menu stays hidden.
I rebooted after every set of deleting and installing.
How can I unhide the menu?
Thank you.

sudo apt purge nemo
sudo apt autoremove
sudo apt install --no-install-recommends nemo

Not having your Librem 5 USA in my hands , but still hope that above helps.

I am guessing here, As the song goes:” Don’t cry for me Argentina”, by the end of the day it is still only a phone!!
Thank you so much for helping me along this slippery road, Quarnero!!
The result is still the same. No menu?

I’m not sure at this moment (but will think about within next days). Did you executed: sudo apt autoremove?

Yes I did!
Thanks again

Do you see it if you turn the phone sideways such that the screen rotates to landscape?

Try this:

  1. Set the keyboard to “Terminal” view.
  2. Tap the Alt key, then the letter v (to enter the View menu, which is invisible to you at the moment).
  3. Enable Menubar.
  4. Don’t forget to unclick the Alt key.

EDIT: Nevermind. Doesn’t seem to work if Menubar is not visible…and I just put my Nemo in the same state as yours! :frowning:

EDIT2 (Solution): gsettings set org.nemo.window-state start-with-menu-bar true
