Let’s assume that I have a service S running on the L5 for local use. Most of the time I external stations not to be able to see anything of S, for protection. Sometimes I work on another system like a desktop computer and want to access S temporarily.
How could I open access to S for external access temporarily and close access afterwards?
Some services could be configured like that which may need a restart of S. It would be nice to have service independent mechanism.
Could it be done with nftables? Any other proposals?
