Nothing new as such but it kinda irks me that the N79 is made a big deal of while BM818 modem of L5 doesn’t have that available (see: Will my existing SIM card work? What countries and networks will be supported? – Purism). it doesn’t have double SIM either. So… are we getting a 5G modem or is marketing blowing smoke…?

I don’t think Band 79 is a valid 4G band so it is not surprising that the BM818 does not support it.

So, yes, there are hints of a new modem, one that supports 5G.

Dual SIM would be trickier though. Maybe eSIM on the modem for the private network and the existing SIM in the phone (as now) for the public network??
