Newbie: I just wish I could install broadcom packages to get wifi working

sudo dpkg -i broadcom-sta-dkms_6.30.223.271-17_all.deb

Thanks for highlighting this opportunity but unfortunately, I still have an error with this command
sudo dpkg -i ~/broadcom-sta-dkms_6.30.223.271-17_all.deb
[sudo] password for []:
dpkg-deb: error: ['~/broadcom-sta-dkms_6.30.223.271-17_all.deb'] is not a Debian format archive
dpkg: error processing archive [~/broadcom-sta-dkms_6.30.223.271-17_all.deb] (--install):
dpkg-deb --control subprocess returned error exit status 2
Errors were encountered while processing:

To be honest, this is one of the few devices relying on the Wifi. Even if it is a bit tricky to install maybe I will consider installing an ethernet cable.
