Passing Cloudflare

Hello,

I have a problem with websites where you have to go through Cloudfare. For example, in order to log in to the Le Mistral AI website, you have to confirm that you are a human in a captcha. For me, this process always ends with an error message. The whole thing under both Firefox and Epiphany Browser. Both with the respective default settings.

Both browsers run smoothly on the desktop under Ubuntu.

What can I do?

Many thanks

Klaus

What’s the error message?

What version of Firefox? of Epiphany?

What’s the actual URL of a web site that exhibits the issue?

Hello irvinewade,

thank you for your enquiry:

The error message is simply “Fehler” (I browse in German; “Fehler” means “Mistake”).

The version of Firefox is: Release 128.12.0esr.

The version of Epiphany is: 40.2-1pureos2.

The url on which the error message occurs is: https://auth.mistral.ai/ui/login?flow=ab738bfd-8697-4ea3-8fe5-70b685f7d5ae

Many thanks
Klaus

You need to generate a new UUID.

I have no idea how to do this. But at least for Firefox I have the solution. It was the ‘Mobile Switcher’ add-on. After I switched it off, everything works again.

Just to remove possible confusions: mistake is more like the meaning of Missgeschick (which is also a kind of Fehler). What you mean is error.

Does that add-on allow you to switch between views while you use a web site?

Or do you mean that you disabled that add-on? (the add-on is still installed but it is deactivated)

Or do you mean that you removed that add-on? (the add-on is no longer installed at all)

I had to laugh at that. That must be the worst error message on the planet i.e. if an error message is produced at all. My goodness there is some rubbish software around. I guess they put their effort into the actual AI. Maybe you should ask their AI what to do when rubbish software produces an error message of “error”.
