I received a Chestnut phone the other day, and I’ve been trying different things with it. One thing I noticed was that the documentation stated that it was necessary to turn off the phone to eject the SIM card (and the SD card as well):
https://docs.puri.sm/Librem_5/Known_Issues.html
This is the only area where the procedure for ejecting the SIM card is mentioned.
However, I was able to eject the SIM by first switching off the modem hardware switch without any repercussions. Inserting it back in, and then turning the modem switch back on, brought back 3G/4G service cell service as normal.
Granted, this “Known Issues” link is for Birch, so this could be an improvement in Chestnut. Is anyone in Birch able to replicate this?
