Would this charger juice up the Librem 5’s battery faster than the 20w charger that comes with it?
Probably not, because right now the USB-C power controller is pretty conservatively configured (5V only and I think maybe limited to a maximum of 2A). So 20W or 200W won’t make a difference. That could change in the future.

Are these configuration settings designed to prevent hardware damage? Slow charging is currently a pain point for the Librem 5 that I was hoping to resolve with higher watt chargers.
Not my expertise but
a) it could simply be what it was designed to do (in terms of voltage and/or current)
b) there may be implications for battery lifespan in how aggressively you charge.
