If you have no privacy, you also cannot form any form of protest. Look at the history of Germany with DDR and Stasi. Some people had not even the privacy at home to speak about protest, because mom or dad was working for the Stasi. You still had the freedom to lock the door, but it doesn’t help you if such people sitting at home. Or there is a hidden microphone and people are spied by Stasi → short time later, freedom is gone, because privacy was not there.
Nothing different for technical devices. Palantir on your phone in a dictatorship can cost your freedom, even if you have the freedom to turn off your sensors.
While you’re not wrong about your examples, my examples are also true. It really depends on context and so in average privacy, security and freedom rely on each other.

I think you all underestimate the power of some low level LLM with internet and 100% privacy leak by most folks. It just can nudge humans to behave like in operation description and observe a solution and message or mail it to the money questioned brain and post some answer to grow.
