After several weeks of successfully using KWeather on the Librem 5 I now find the application will not start. Upon trying to launch from the terminal, the following error is given:
purism@pureos:~$ flatpak run org.kde.kweather
QIBusPlatformInputContext: invalid portal bus.
Some context: this is the KDE weather application from Flathub via the PureOS Store. I’ve not encountered this error with any other Flatpak application to date. Is there a value I should add to the Flatseal entry for KWeather specifically now? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail.
Is there something else I should try to get it working again?

Try flatpak repair
, then run KWeather again.
Thank you for the suggestion, unfortunately even after running flatpak repair
the same error of QIBusPlatformInputContext: invalid portal bus.
is given and the application does not launch.

What operating system and codename/version are you running on the Librem 5?
The phone is running PureOS Byzantium, fully updated according to apt update

Okay, try restarting your Librem 5, then run KWeather from the App Drawer instead.
Selecting KWeather from the app drawer after a restart just shows the phone desktop wallpaper (as if it’s about to launch) but the application never launches. Previously the wallpaper would show for a brief second before the application launched but now it remains on the screen until swiped away.

Did you make any recent changes to your Librem 5 before KWeather stopped working?
Just the updates that are pushed through PureOS Store and occasionally through the terminal with apt update

Is it just the one line of error, or are there more?
Just the one error is given:
QIBusPlatformInputContext: invalid portal bus.

Okay, I suggest creating an issue about it on the KWeather GitLab repository:
You can also post your issue on the KDE Discuss forum:
