Problem verifying presence of TPM

I thought I had installed tpm-tools correctly, but get the following message when I enter sudo tpm_version

Tspi_Context_Connect failed: 0x00003011 - layer=tsp, code=0011 (17), Communication failure

Any thoughts on how to rectify?

I don’t know how to fix, but I can confirm the same behavior.
I have a Librem 15v3 w/ TPM. Tested in Ubuntu 17.10.

I have a Libreb 13v3 w/TPM running PureOS. On coreboot 4.6-Purism 5. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix?
