Product compliance documentation

I spent a chunk of my free time aggregating compliance documentation for various Librem devices. More documents are likely to come, but other documents I located must first be authorized by 3rd parties for public dissemination. This process will continue as time allows for other models not listed.

This is an ongoing effort to increase product transparency and public trust in the products we provide to customers throughout the globe.

I would like to specifically thank @nicole.faerber and all other Purism staff that were instrumental in the application and processing of these standards and regulations, and all the designers, developers, and valuable customers without which these products would never come to life.

Electrical schematics and design files are copyright encumbered from Intel reference designs and therefore are not disseminable by Purism. We are working to release motherboard design files in the future that do not infringe on Intel’s intellectual property restrictions.

You know, long ago when I was a college kid I used to watch videos of Terry A Davis on YouTube and laugh and laugh at how absurd he was acting. He declared himself the righteous will of God and said that Intel must cave to his demands. I think he might have said something about them otherwise being infiltrated by the CIA space aliens.

Why is it that in 2026, when I realize that even hardware I went way out of my way to buy for its freedom oriented approach… is still being legally bullied by Intel not to publicly admit to how it works…

I start to wonder whether I was wrong, so long ago, to laugh at someone else and to be so sure of myself.

Wrong about the aliens or the infiltration? Even aliens have to go through a background check and a fill out a form …

  • What is your name (last name first). “Binface, Count”
  • Date of Birth? “Stardate 5219.4”
  • Place of Birth? “Sigma IX”
  • Have you ever been a member of the Dolly Madison Patriotic Society? “No”.
  • Have you ever taken illegal drugs? “No, they were all legal.”
  • Have you ever been a part of a terrorist organization? “No.”

Count Binface (above) is hired right away. Six months after the background investigation, he gets his clearance. (This presupposes the seperate background investigating agency was infiltrated first.)
