Proper Resolution on lapdock screen

Has anyone been able to get the screen resolution to fully usable on a lapdock (any brand)?

The convergence on the L5 is cool but it always seems so janky. The resolution is a big deal, and I’m curious if anyone has been able to sort a solution for improving this?

What does “fully usable” mean?

Also, what display mode are you using? i.e. joined? mirrored? one display only i.e. the external display?

(I don’t have any notes specifically about screen resolution but nor did I note any problems with screen resolution. However I found “one display only” to be the most practical mode - and maybe that is what you are driving at.)

It is the U-perfect X Mini that Kyle Rankin talked about over 2 years ago. It works, but the top and bottom of the screen is cut off. And resizing things or using costuming window sizes is just an exercise in futility.

I always just use the default monitor setup. I believe the term would be extended. IE: the L5 screen is still the main screen, and the lapdock display is an extended one.

I can report that the bigger U-perfect lapdock seems to not have the same resolution issue. It is possible that a software update fixed things as well.

Either way this is great, I would just prefer the more compact Mini X.

Edit: I just had a brain fart and realized that the resolution issues I was having with the Librem 5 and a Mini X were not real. I was thinking about when I plugged a Fairphone 4 running /E OS into it. That is when I had all of those problems.

Sorry about wasting everyone’s time.
