Proximity and swipe gestures

Is there a way to use the proximity sensor to disable the swipe gestures when holding the phone next to the head during a call?

I have several times “managed” to turn off the mobile connection on the swipe down menu and interrupt my call, because I did not hold L5 steady. Yeah, I know the answer, hold it steady and do not move… It is annoying to be able to terminate the call this way.

The proximity sensor already disables touch input when calling. But it’s been difficult to set sensivity right, so that’s a work in progress.

Did you notice any changes recently?

I think to the worse. Yes. I had some time to see this behavior. I hang up this way a couple of days ago (my L5 with byzantium is fully up to date).
